What is Culture Shock?

"Culture shock usually occurs when people unconsciously apply their own cultural rules to people from another culture," the author says. “And that can lead to feelings of frustration, surprise, disorientation, confusion, isolation, hurt, and sometimes even retaliation.” Sharing his experiences in Shocking Cultures, Dr. Ngomsi hopes to open the eyes and minds of people to understand that not everyone shares the same cultural lenses. As a result, “we do not see the world as it is but as we are".

Shocking Cultures Book

Dear friends of All World Languages & Cultures, Inc.,

As you may know, our President and Senior Consultant, Emmanuel Ngomsi, Ph. D., has published his new book “Shocking Cultures: Hilarious and Disastrous Challenges of Foreign Workers in the USA”. As soon as it was available, we received many requests for this book from our friends and customers. Later, we received numerous great comments about this captivating book. Many of the readers have mentioned to us that their stories are very relative to what is described in the book. If you have a story about your cultural shock experience, please share it with us.

I look forward to hearing from you!
